Munchkin is a brilliant card game that comically portrays tabletop RPG gameplay from a soloist perspective. On a Munchkin's (or player's) turn, he or she draws a Door card, which may reveal a monster to fight, a curse, or a card that can simply be collected, such as a race or class option. A fight against a monster might be complicated (or eased) by hindrance or assistance from other players. Winning a fight usually grants the player a level or two, as well as one or more Treasure cards, such as the Revealing Costume (+3 bonus), Sneaky Bastard Sword (+2 bonus), or the Scroll of Debuffination. Items with a bonus simply add their value to the Munchkin's character level for determining strength in combat. Other items are usable only once, some in-combat and some only outside of combat. Though fairly easy to pick up, Munchkin has enough stuff in it to let subtle and sneaky players pull of devastating moves.
